“We are always excited to win this award,” said Tim Cole, vice president of marketing at nora systems, Inc., North America. “noraplan valua is a versatile rubber floor covering that captures the essence, shades and surfaces found in nature and carries them indoors. In fact, the inspired-by-nature theme begins with the name ‘valua,’ which comes from the Finnish language and means flow. This name perfectly captures the idea that natural rubber flows directly from the tree into this product.”

The Architectural Products Product Innovation Awards (PIAs) determine and honor innovation in the development and refinement of buildings-related products that range the gamut, from cladding systems to interior finishes. Judged by a group of 28 independent industry professionals that included architects, interior designers, lighting designers and veteran architectural, engineering and construction writers, the winners in each of the program’s 14 categories represent those products judges found to be the most innovative and worth investigating.

“Building on the success of last year’s program, our sixth edition of the award proves commercial building manufacturers are committed to, and are working arduously toward, delivering more sustainable products, as well as products that deliver better performance, life and affordability,” said Jim Crockett, editorial director – Architectural Products magazine.

noraplan valua and other winners of Product Innovation Awards are featured in the November print edition of Architectural Product magazine and online at www.arch-products.com.
