As the designer of more than 500 projects in the commercial and educational fields, Miller brings a unique perspective to his facilities responsibilities. Unhappy with the appearance and maintenance requirements of the carpet that ran throughout the hallways of both high schools, Miller opted to replace it with two-tone designs of norament grano in both schools. In 1999, he installed nora flooring in the heavily used corridors and stairwells of a school where he used to work. After a recent visit, Miller noted that the flooring looks as good as it did the day it was installed, convincing him to once again turn to nora. Maintenance also played a factor in Miller’s decision, as he required a material that would take less time to maintain, easing the overall burden on the maintenance staff responsible for 24 facilities throughout the district.
