Tim Cole, vice president of marketing at nora systems, Inc., named to Health Product Declaration® Collaborative board of directors

Salem, NH (June 23, 2016) – Tim Cole, vice president of marketing at nora systems, Inc., has been named to the Health Product Declaration® (HPD) Collaborative board of directors.

The HPD Collaborative is a customer-led, member organization committed to the continuous improvement of the building industry’s performance through transparency, openness and innovation in the product supply chain. The organization created, supports and evolves the Health Product Declaration, an open standard format for the accurate reporting of material contents and potential health hazards.

“I’m thrilled to take on this new role and excited to bring my experience in the building industry and sustainability to the important work this group does,” said Tim Cole, vice president of marketing and global sustainability at nora systems, Inc., North America. “I look forward to enhancing and supporting consumers’ informed decisions about the products they purchase and their impacts on human health.“

Before joining nora last June, Cole spent 25 years with Forbo Flooring Systems, most recently as head of global sustainability and director of global strategy for healthcare and education. His professional work also includes eight years on the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) board of directors and four years on the council’s executive committee as treasurer, chair-elect, 2010 board chair and immediate past chair in 2011. Additionally, he has served as a member and chair of the USGBC Board Governance Committee, president of the Alliance for Sustainable Built Environments and board member for the CAN DO Economic Development Organization for Northeastern Pennsylvania. Cole is current chairman of the ASTM Resilient Flooring Committee and a member of the ISO Flooring Committee, ASTM and ISO Sustainability Committees and the advisory committee of The Institute for Market Transformation to Sustainability (MTS). He holds a BFA degree and a masters in marketing and communicative arts and design from Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Virginia.
