Salem, NH (Nov. 13, 2012) – The 2012 Nightingale Awards, presented by The Center for Health Design, HEALTHCARE DESIGN Conference and Contract magazine, have recognized noraplan® sentica from nora systems, Inc. with a gold award in the Flooring: Hard Surface category. The gold award is the highest level for the Nightingale Awards.
The Nightingale Awards recognize contributions to the healthcare built environment through product design and innovation that contribute to healing. Entries were judged by a panel of healthcare facilities executives and interior designers, who visited each manufacturer’s booth for an in-person presentation two days before HEALTHCARE DESIGN opened. Judging criteria included contribution to the quality of healthcare, functionality, quality/durability, aesthetics/style, environmental sustainability and pricing.
“We are proud to be recognized as a Nightingale Award winner,“ said Amy Bostock, manager, marketing and creative services at nora. “noraplan sentica is the result of an international collaboration of architects and designers that drove the design and color selection for the floor covering. Created to provide comfort and flexibility for healthcare applications, noraplan sentica offers a broad palette of 38 original colors and a tone-on-tone design that complements noraplan environcare™, driving new projects and serving as a complement to renovations.“
noraplan sentica and other winners of Nightingale Awards will be featured in the December issue of Contract magazine, on the publication‘s website at www.contractmagazine.com and on The Center for Health Design site at www.healthdesign.org.
